Sisters compete in rice planting on March 8
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of International Women's Day, on the morning of March 8, in the Da La field in Dong 1 hamlet, Kim Lien commune, the Women's Union of Kim Lien commune (Nam Dan) organized the 2018 Spring Rice Planting Competition.

The contest had the participation of 25 teams from 25 women's associations in Kim Lien commune, each team consisted of 2 members, including 1 main planter and 1 assistant seedling grower; the competition had to be performed on an area of over 500 m2.2within 30 minutes.

The participating teams were required to transplant quickly, straight, and correctly, ensuring a density of 2-3 plants/clump, 35-40 clumps/m2. With many years of production experience, the women transplanted very quickly and ensured the correct technical requirements. Many members and people came to enthusiastically cheer, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere on International Women's Day.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the women's association of Dong 1 hamlet; 2 second prizes to the associations of Mau 2 hamlet and Mau 4 hamlet; and third prizes to the associations of Lien Son 2, Tru 1, Tru 2 and Mau 1 hamlets./.
