Hoa Minzy was born in 1995 in Bac Ninh, in a family of 5 siblings (4 older sisters, 1 younger brother), she is the fourth child. The most well-known older sister is MC Nguyen Thi Hang, often called "Sister Kinh Hong".
Nguyen Thi Hang, born in 1992, is a famous MC of the children's program "Good Night Baby" on VTV in 2013. While still in school, Hang won the First Prize for Excellent Students at the provincial level, Second Prize in the National Biology Competition; received the Odon Vallet Scholarship and the Certificate of Merit for Young Talents of Bac Ninh Province; Top 100 excellent students of the 2010-2014 course of the Banking Academy.

Phuong My Chi's real sister's real name is Phuong My Quyen, born in 1995, 8 years older than her sister. She works as a stylist and image manager for her sister.
