The PCI 2019 survey results show a fairly bright picture of Vietnam's business environment. The quality of economic management of provinces and cities in Vietnam last year continued to maintain an improvement momentum.
The average PCI score reached an all-time high. The top province increased its score, and the gap between the bottom province and the top provinces continued to narrow. Infrastructure quality improved significantly.
Informal costs continue to be cut, the business environment for private enterprises is gradually becoming more equal, security and order are more assured, and administrative procedures are changing in a positive direction.
However, it is still necessary to increase publicity and transparency, improve the quality of labor and business support services, as well as strongly reform administrative procedures after business registration, and cut down on more substantial business conditions.
