Nghe An industrial production index is in the top 6 nationwide after 7 months of 2025
The General Statistics Office, Ministry of Finance has just announced that the Industrial Production Index (IIP) of Nghe An in the first 7 months of 2025 increased by 15.8% over the same period last year, ranking 6th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

This growth was driven by many key industrial products achieving high output: construction stone mining 3,917 million m³ (up 29.8%), fresh milk 190.5 million liters (up 9.2%), cement 5.3 million tons (up 12.13%), electricity production 2,170 million kWh (up 39.62%).
The electronic components group continued to record impressive growth compared to the same period in 2024: 142.78 million microphones (3.8 times higher), 40.13 million non-microphone headphones (up 43.61%), 11.1 million charging docks (up 25.68%). Production services for electric wires, cables and other electronics reached VND6.11 billion, up 38.28%.
Nationwide, according to the General Statistics Office, in July 2025, IIP increased in all 34 localities, compared to the same period last year.
In the first 7 months of 2025, IIP is estimated to increase by 8.6% over the same period last year; of which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 10.3%, contributing 8.5 percentage points to the overall increase; the electricity production and distribution industry increased by 4.6%, contributing 0.4 percentage points; the water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry increased by 10.4%, contributing 0.1 percentage points.
The Industrial Production Index (IIP) is a statistical indicator used to measure the level of fluctuation in the industrial production output of a country, locality or industry, over a certain period of time compared to the base period. Thus, this is a measure of the growth or decline of industrial production activities, reflecting the health and development trend of the industrial economy.
