Industrial production index in May in Nghe An increased by more than 13%
(BNA) - The industrial production index in May in Nghe An province maintained a stable growth rate despite many difficulties.

Specifically, the mining industry increased by 31.62%; the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 13.04%; the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 9.65%; the supply of water, management and treatment of waste and wastewater decreased by 3.47%.
In May 2024, a number of businesses have stepped up production and expanded their scale; many new projects were put into operation, and manufactured products increased compared to the same period last year, such as: Taical additives, electronic components, auto spare parts, solar battery modules, and leather shoes.

Some manufactured products grew quite well compared to the same period, such as: Wood shavings and chips estimated at 28.7 thousand tons, up 2.8 times; Headphones not connected to microphones estimated at 4.6 million units, up 2.3 times; Construction stone estimated at 473.9 thousand m3, up 98.07%; Electric cable production services estimated at 641.0 billion VND, up 95.95%; Processed stone estimated at 99.9 thousand m3, up 53.51%; Ready-mixed concrete estimated at 47,355 m3, up 37.11%; Fiber estimated at 1 thousand tons, up 28.21%; Canned beer estimated at 8.6 million liters; up 26.38%; Beer can shells estimated at 541 tons, up 20.90%; Paper packaging estimated at 4.5 million units, up 16.47%; Stone powder is estimated at 53.5 thousand tons, up 14.32%; Cement clinker is estimated at 669.8 thousand tons; up 12.43%; Electricity products produced in the month are estimated at 224.5 million kWh, up 12.09%.

In addition, some businesses face difficulties, narrowed consumer markets, scarce input materials, increased raw material prices, affecting production output such as: Fish sauce is estimated at 11.9 million liters, down 59.82%; Hoa Sen steel pipes are estimated at 1.8 thousand tons, down 40.85%; Cartons are estimated at 1.5 million units, down 24.95%; BSE speakers are estimated at 4.6 million units, down 14.24%; Animal feed is estimated at 14.7 thousand tons, down 5.58%; Tap water is estimated at 2.8 million m3, down 5.88%; NPK chemical fertilizers are estimated at 5.0 thousand tons, down 2.44%; Yogurt is estimated at 4.9 thousand tons, down 2.05%.
In the first 5 months of 2024, the industrial production index increased by 9.37% over the same period. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 10.3%; the mining industry increased by 7.13%; water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities increased by 7.9% and the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 0.93%.
