Only support registration for new fishing vessels according to Decree 67

(Baonghean.vn) - Voters of Dien Chau district proposed that the province pay attention to supporting fishermen with preferential loans to produce and build new double-trawl fishing boats.

Currently, the whole province is implementing Decree 67/2014/ND-CP on a number of policies for fisheries development. Up to now, the Provincial People's Committee has approved a list of ship owners eligible to build new ships according to Decree 67, which is 119 ships, of which Dien Chau district has only registered 07 ships and has deployed the construction of 04 new ships (03 newly built ships, 01 upgraded ship); on the other hand, at point d, section 3, Circular 02/2006/TT-BTS dated March 20, 2016 Guiding the implementation of the Government's Decree No. 59/2005/ND-CP dated May 4, 2005 on conditions for production and business of a number of fisheries sectors, stipulates as follows: "The Ministry of Fisheries prohibits the development of:... - Ships with engines with a capacity of less than 90 horsepower for fishing trawling".

Therefore, the People's Committee of Dien Chau district needs to focus on directing the People's Committee of the commune and fishermen to register to build new fishing boats according to Decree 67, this is a preferential policy of the State for fishermen.
