Within 2 days of July 22 and 23, in Nghe An province, 5 suspension bridges and 1 iron bridge were swept away by water in the historic flood caused by storm No. 3.

These are bridges invested by the State and built by the community to help develop the socio-economy and support travel for people and students in the villages of the West. Specifically, in Tuong Duong commune, there were 3 suspension bridges submerged in the river in just one night: Cua Rao bridge (old Xa Luong commune), Ban Chan suspension bridge and Ban Lau suspension bridge (both in the old Thach Giam town). In My Ly commune, the locality suffered extremely heavy damage with 160 houses swept away, more than 200 houses were severely flooded and damaged. In addition, the damage to roads, bridges, and other infrastructure works cannot be fully counted yet. Among them, Yen Hoa suspension bridge across Nam Non river was swept away by floodwaters without a trace on the night of July 22, 2025. This is a suspension bridge connecting the central villages of My Ly commune and the villages in the upper reaches of Nam Non river, and is also a connecting bridge that helps develop the economy and community tourism of My Ly commune.
