Surrounded by floodwaters, the lives of people in the flooded area of Hung Nguyen are facing many difficulties.

A resident of Hamlet 7, Chau Nhan Commune, shared: "The floodwaters have surrounded my house for the past five days. My children and grandchildren have moved to a house inside the dike for safety. Every day I paddle my tin boat out to cast my nets to supplement our meals." (Photo: An Nam)

Along with sharing the difficulties among flood victims, several organizations, individuals, and volunteer groups from within and outside the province arrived early in the flooded area of Hung Nguyen to visit, offer gifts, and encourage the people. Photo: An Nam

Mr. Hoang Kim Long from Chau Nhan commune, a member of the volunteer group, said: "Before organizing the gift distribution, we surveyed the actual flood situation in the area. I myself went to Hanoi tonight for surgery to remove pins from my hand due to an electric shock accident, but today, I still rowed a boat with my colleagues to distribute gifts and encourage the people in the flooded villages."
