Appropriating 10 billion VND by receiving land division
The authorities have just initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and temporarily detained Bo Nhu Phong (40 years old) to investigate the acts of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" and "Forgery of documents of agencies and organizations; use of fake documents of agencies and organizations".
According to the police, Bo Nhu Phong had no stable job or place to live. In order to have money to spend, he came up with the idea of defrauding and appropriating other people's property.

After receiving documents and money from the people, Phong forged decisions from the authorities about the acceptance of land division procedures and gave them to the victims to gain their trust. Then, Phong asked the people to give him more money to complete the documents. After taking the money, Phong fled.
After the victim reported the incident, the police arrested Phong while he was traveling in Phu Giao district. Searching Phong's briefcase, the police seized many official documents and decisions signed by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc provinces.
The police conducted an appraisal and determined that the documents and decisions Phong was holding were all fake.
At the police station, the subject confessed to having defrauded about 15 people in Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc, appropriating more than 10 billion VND. The documents regarding the land division were downloaded by Phong from the internet, then he cut out the signatures of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc provinces and pasted them to commit the fraud.
Through investigation, Phong had two previous convictions for "Fraudulent appropriation of property". Phu Giao District Police informed that anyone who was Phong's victim should contact them for resolution.
