Seized nearly 1 billion VND of land purchase money and then fled
Tran Van Moi (born in 1985) invited Mr. Hoang Quoc Tuan to pool money to buy land. After receiving Mr. Tuan's money, Moi did not follow the agreement and fled, embezzling 970 million VND.
On July 28, the Investigation Police Agency of Can Tho City Police said that they are verifying the source of the crime denunciation by Mr. Hoang Quoc Tuan (residing in Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City), accusing Tran Van Moi (born in 1985, residing in Hoa An Hamlet, Long Thoi Commune, Cho Lach District, Ben Tre Province) of "Abusing trust to appropriate property".
Initial investigation showed that Moi invited Mr. Tuan to pool money to buy land. After receiving money from Mr. Tuan, Moi did not follow the agreement but fled his residence, embezzling 970 million VND.
To clarify the source of the above crime, Tran Van Moi is requested to come to the Can Tho City Police Department, 71 Tran Phu, Cai Khe Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City to clarify the content of the citizen's accusation.
After 30 days from the date of the notice, if Mr. Tran Van Moi is not present, the Investigation Police Department of Can Tho City Police will handle the case according to the provisions of law.
