According to the genealogy of the great families in Quynh Yen commune (Quynh Luu) and the elders, Lam Son pagoda was built in the Le Trung Hung period in 1712. At that time, the pagoda was built in the middle of Thuong Yen village, Quynh Yen commune, on a large, high land. The pagoda is a place to protect monks and Buddhists from all directions, and a place to pray for peace for the people in the village.
