Admire Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo: Extremely cool, extremely sporty

At the Bangkok Motor Show 2018, Toyota Thailand brought to the exhibition the popular SUV Fortuner TRD Sportivo imported directly from Indonesia. The exterior of the Fortuner is equipped with a very beautiful and sporty bodykit, the front bumper is designed with sharp angles, the air intake is expanded differently from the standard version. The car still has overall dimensions of 4795 x 1855 x 1835mm.
The car uses sharp Bi-LED headlights with integrated turn signals and LED daytime running lights, low round fog lights, and the Toyota logo is placed between the two-bar metal grille painted in glossy black. In the TRD Sportivo version, from the A-pillar to the roof are painted black, contrasting with the pearl white paint, making the overall car very sporty and harmonious.
Toyota Fortuner TRD 2018 still uses torsion beam front suspension and multi-link rear suspension combined with torsion springs, both front and rear axles use Sportivo forks. The front wheels use perforated brakes with 2-piston calipers, the car has 2 driving modes: Eco and Power. Toyota equips Fortuner with 20-inch multi-spoke Sportivo rims with 265/50 tires.
The interior of the car is no different from the standard version, but the details are made sportier such as two-tone leather seats, red stitching on the steering wheel, gear lever and some details painted in imitation carbon fiber. The TRD logo is attached to the dashboard, on the doors and on the steps.
Toyota Fortuner TRD uses a 2.8L turbocharged 4-cylinder inline diesel engine with Intercooler, 6-speed automatic transmission with PaddeShift, the engine produces a maximum capacity of 175 horsepower at 3400 rpm and torque of 450Nm at 1600 - 2400 rpm.
Toyota Fortuner 2018 Sportivo is equipped with a rear camera, safety systems including: Anti-lock braking, electronic brake force distribution, emergency brake assist, traction control, vehicle stability, rear trailer tow control, hill start assist, downhill assist, electric trunk, 7 airbags....
Similar to Vietnam, Toyota Fortuner in Thailand is imported directly from Indonesia. The price of this model starts from 1.24 million baht (about 904 million VND). The TRD Sportivo version costs 1.73 million baht (about 1.26 billion VND). In addition, in Thailand, there are also accessory companies specializing in providing bodykit packages specifically for popular car models such as Fiar Design, Access Amortriz, ... with a price of about 9 million VND for a body kit.
