'Black Panther' earned 56 billion VND after 5 days of showing in Vietnam

With 56 billion VND (2.5 million USD), Black Panther surpassed Super Silly Superstar, the big hit last Tet season, with announced revenue of 55 billion VND.

After 5 days of release, the movieSuper silly superstarDirector Duc Thinh's film grossed 55 billion VND, setting a record as the highest-grossing Vietnamese Tet film of all time, and the fastest film to reach the 50 billion VND mark.

Meanwhile, the new “brainchild” of Marvel Studios and Walt Disney is the second film in the history of the US box office to reach a record revenue of over 400 million USD after only two weeks of release, afterJurassic Worldwas released in 2015. In terms of global revenue,Black Panthergrossed more than $700 million. This figure is expected to increase dramatically when the film is scheduled to be released in China and Japan next March.

In Vietnam, after setting a record with two days of early screenings, the 18th MCU film continues to become the Disney film with the highest first weekend revenue and the Superhero film with the highest first weekend revenue. After 5 days of release,Black Pantherhas grossed 2.5 million USD (56 billion VND) in Vietnam.
