US 'F-16 fighter jets' hover over North Korean skies
What is rare is that an "F-16" fighter jet (US Air Force aircraft) flew over the sky of North Korea to the excitement of the people of this country.
The plane roared over the heads of North Koreans at the first air show in the world's most closed country, held on September 25.

However, the plane was actually just a remote-controlled model aircraft, modeled after a US Air Force fighter jet.
Other miniature models of F-16 and J-10 fighter jets (of China) were also introduced on the second day of the Wonsan International Friendship Aviation Festival.
Having a 1:6 scale F-16 model fly in the air at this exhibition is quite special considering the context of North Korea's frequent anger about the presence of US troops and air bases in South Korea.
North Korea has been particularly angry about recent flights by B-1B bombers.
North Korea's state news agency called the B-1B a "notorious nuclear war vehicle" and accused the US of imposing a "nuclear threat" on North Korea.
However, the American fighter jet models seemed to delight the North Korean crowd at the exhibition.
Thousands of North Koreans and hundreds of foreign tourists and journalists were invited to attend the event (which opened on September 24).
At the exhibition, viewers can also admire North Korean air force aircraft, including MiG-29 fighters and SU-25 attack aircraft purchased from Russia.
MiG-21 pilot Rim Sol stands next to her fighter and says: “This plane is faster than other planes and can change direction easily and quickly, so there is very little time to think, you have to make decisions very quickly.”
Wonsan Airport was long used by the North Korean military but has been upgraded and rebuilt to accommodate commercial flights.
The final day of the exhibition featured a military parachute display.
Officials declined to comment on the origin of the F-16 model.
On September 24, many US-made Hughes MD military helicopters also performed at the exhibition, raising questions about the possibility that international sanctions against North Korea had been violated./.
