On April 23, at its headquarters at 71 Hang Trong (Hanoi), Nhan Dan Newspaper solemnly held a ceremony to announce a special media campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The event was held right when the people of the whole country were looking forward to the great holiday, marking the historic moment that opened the era of national independence and socialism, when the country was reunited exactly half a century ago.
