The 2022 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign was deployed by the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union from June 1 to August 31, focusing on 14 targets associated with one program and four campaigns with specific target groups. Specifically, including the Program "Supporting the Exam Season" and the Campaigns "Green Summer", "Red Flamboyant", "Pink Holiday" and "Green March".

Fully aware of the purpose and significance of the Summer Volunteer Campaign, right from the beginning of its implementation and mobilization, the youth union members of the whole school enthusiastically responded and participated in the activities. The campaign kicked off with the Exam Support Program, which was deployed synchronously with the participation of 2,420 union members and youth. Before the exam took place, the Youth Union at all levels proactively deployed the model "One lecturer, young teacher, student supporting one candidate". This model supported 1,815 candidates to review their knowledge before taking the High School Graduation Exam.

During the exam, nearly 600 young volunteers and students were present at the exam sites to organize traffic flow, give out water and milk, and look after the candidates' belongings. In addition, they supported 594 motorbike taxi trips, 3,027 free lunches, and gave away 81,220 bottles of water to the candidates. The total budget for supporting the 2022 Exam Support Program in Nghe An province is 554 million VND.

For the Green Summer Campaign, the key contents are directed to 4 poor districts according to the Prime Minister's Decision: Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Quy Chau. In which, the priority areas for implementing the programs are the residential areas of ethnic groups that still face many difficulties such as the O Du, Kho Mu, Mong; communes that have reached the new rural finish line; and Youth Villages invested in and built by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union.

Maintaining that goal, the volunteer teams have participated in repairing 15 km, renewing 5 km of rural roads, helping 15 policy families repair their houses; renewing 18 km of green fences; planting nearly 7,500 new trees, replacing more than 500 light bulbs and electrical systems in families in the operating area; organizing free medical examinations and giving post-Covid-19 consultations to more than 1,000 teenagers and children in the province.

The Red Flamboyant Campaign was organized by the Youth Union of High Schools, Vocational Education Center - Continuing Education, youth teams including teachers and students have deployed the models "Green Shirt Tutor", "Each teacher supports a candidate for the high school graduation exam" to support candidates in reviewing summer knowledge. Deploying green - clean - beautiful works on the roads; "Playground for children", "Rescue tires", "Observation tires" and loving meals, participating in rice planting, repairing electricity, installing lighting, cleaning houses to help single-parent households, policy families, organizing activities to return to the source.

For the Pink Holiday campaign, the Youth Union of the Enterprise Bloc and the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies organized 5 medical examination and treatment sessions and provided free medicine to nearly 1,500 people. The Young Intellectuals Team transferred scientific and technical knowledge on farming to people in Tuong Duong and Tan Ky districts, Hoang Mai town, and donated 800 seedlings to people. In addition, they supported the construction of "Toilets for Children" and 5 playgrounds for children in mountainous areas. The voluntary blood donation attracted nearly 2,000 union members and young people to participate enthusiastically. At the same time, during the campaign, the Youth Union bases also presented nearly 300 gifts to people in difficult circumstances, policy families, and families of war invalids.

The Green March campaign was deployed synchronously with 45 "Green March" formations attracting more than 800 officers and soldiers to participate. The formations focused on implementing many activities, projects, and youth tasks such as: handling black spots of waste collection, participating in new rural construction activities, protecting the environment, supporting forest fire prevention; organizing gratitude meals, examining and giving medicine to policy families, households in difficult circumstances, implementing "Voluntary Saturday to handle administrative procedures for people", issuing and changing citizen identification cards, continuing to implement the model "Foster children of the Union".

Looking back on the 3-month journey of the 2022 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union Secretary - Mr. Le Van Luong shared that the youth union members have been present on almost all fronts with many practical actions and activities to complete the 14 targets set at the beginning of the 2022 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign. The campaign has been successful in many aspects with many targets exceeding the set plan. Thereby, bringing practical values ​​to the community, as well as creating an environment for young people to practice, mature and contribute to the community and society.
