Admiral Makarov warship makes America uneasy
In December 2017, the Russian Ministry of Defense received the extremely powerful warship of project 11356 named Admiral Makarov, specializing in conducting combat operations against surface ships and submarines, and even counterattacking attacks from air attack vehicles.
According to the newspaperThe Business Insider,Project 11356 ships are equipped with up to eight ZM55 Oniks or ZM54 cruise missiles (Kalibr-HKE family), as well as Kortik anti-aircraft artillery and missile systems and the Shtil-1 ship-based anti-aircraft missile complex.
This destroyer has a range of 4,850 miles, a maximum speed of 30 knots, can swim autonomously for 30 days and nights, and a crew of 180 people (including 18 officers) and 20 marines.
The basic components of the Russian Navy Fleet are corvettes, small ships equipped with long-range missiles that can operate for long periods at sea. Destroyers have always been a basic component for most of the world's navies. The Russian Navy also focuses on this type of ship.
The destroyer Admiral Makarov will become part of the Black Sea Fleet in November this year.
