Gepard 3.9 warship ready to return to Vietnam
Russian military websites have just posted photos of Vietnam's Gepard 3.9 ship number 486 returning to Novorossiysk port after completing testing.
According to published information, the ship has completed all sea tests, including from the propulsion system, stability to the weapons equipped on the ship such as Kh-35 Uran-E anti-ship missiles or AK-176 naval guns...
Compared to the first pair of Gepard 3.9s, the third and fourth have major changes in anti-submarine warfare capabilities when they are equipped with sonar equipment and 533 mm torpedo tubes.
In addition, the electronic system and living facilities for sailors also have slight improvements.

From the outside, the ship's paintwork was significantly faded, indicating that it had undergone a very harsh and serious process of operation and evaluation.
But the most noteworthy thing here is that the Gepard 3.9 has almost completed all procedures to be handed over to the Vietnam People's Navy.
It is expected that in the next few days, the super-heavy transport ship Rolldock will arrive at Novorossiysk port to "carry" the Gepard ship back home.
According to plan, the above warship will be present at Cam Ranh port at the end of this year, possibly this November, and the fourth Gepard ship with the number 487 will depart for home a few months later.
Receiving two more modern missile frigates will significantly enhance the combat power of the Vietnam Navy, putting this force firmly on the path to modernity.
