Episode 14 of the show made a strong impression when it depicted the sacrifice of Senior Lieutenant Luong Phat Chiem and untold stories from Colonel Tran Thanh Son.
Reenacting historical cases with advice from living witnesses
Episode 14 of the program "Brave Soldiers 2025" has received many positive responses from the audience, expressing admiration for the spirit of dedication of the People's Public Security force. The episode focuses on recreating stories in Projects 279LL, 18TN, and 19TN, a special campaign to destroy large-scale armed drug trafficking lines from the Vietnam - Laos border.
To ensure authenticity, the program has the participation of living witnesses who directly commanded and participated in the project as content consultants, including Lieutenant General Mai Hoang (Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police) and Colonel Tran Thanh Son (Deputy Director, Head of the Investigation Police Agency - Son La Provincial Police). The filming location was taken right at the former "hot spots", bringing emotional footage and honoring the bravery of the soldiers.
Touching stories behind the battle
During the program, the soldiers had a few moments to open up about the pressures and dangers they faced. Colonel Tran Thanh Son shared emotional stories about his comrades.
The silent action of Lieutenant General Mai Hoang
Colonel Son choked up as he recounted a delicate action by Lieutenant General Mai Hoang during the course of the case: “Going to fight a big case, comrade Mai Hoang quietly left his backpack, armor, and bulletproof helmet in the attic… not because he forgot, but to reassure his mother.” This detail shows the motherly love and silent sacrifice of the soldier, turning family pride into strength to fight.

The program also depicts the pain of loss with the sacrifice of Senior Lieutenant Luong Phat Chiem on July 19, 2014. He rests forever in the mountains and forests of the Northwest, leaving behind his old mother, wife and young children.
“When my colleagues fell... everyone probably thought it was their fault. Only then did I understand that fighting in this arduous battle against drugs was paid for with blood and bones,” Colonel Son could not hold back his tears as he recalled. He said that great loss had also become a greater motivation and determination for the entire force.
Homeland - A source of great spiritual strength
In addition to stories from the front lines, the program also depicts the image of the strong rear. These are the "foster sisters" who stay up all night to prepare hot meals, waiting for news of the soldiers' return. Colonel Son emotionally recounted: "Many times when I came home before dawn, the landlady opened the door and whispered to me, 'Are all the soldiers back, uncle?'" The everyday stories show the solidarity and strength of the people in the common war.

Episode 14 with the theme "Battle of Dragon Hill" has aroused gratitude and pride in the hearts of the audience. After the episode aired, the show's theme music video "Courageous Journey" was also officially released, recreating footage recording the artists' training and role-playing process.
