In 2023, Nghe An was assigned to call 3,377elite youth enlisting in the armyinto the Army and Police forces. Of these, 3,102 young men joined the Army and 275 young men joined the Police.

It is known that 110 new soldiers assigned to the Training - Mobility Battalion of the Nghe An Border Guard Command will be organized into 1 Company, 3 Platoons and 9 Squads. After completing the reception procedures, the soldiers will be issued with military equipment and live in each Squad.

After being received, the young soldiers will have their health checked, attend training courses, be educated about the revolutionary traditions of the Vietnam People's Army, as well as learn about customs, habits, and formal rules...

According to the regulations of the Ministry of National Defense, the training period for new recruits will be 3 months, however, the Border Guard force will extend it by 1.5 months for in-depth training in border defense. The characteristic of young soldiers is that they are away from their families for the first time, so their mentality is often unstable. The unit's task is to grasp the mentality, train and practice so that new soldiers clearly understand their roles and tasks before being assigned to the stations to perform their duties.

"However, the advantage is that currently the training grounds and training grounds are fully equipped, and the training staff are also qualified. In the first stage of training, soldiers will have to ensure that they are proficient in using the weapons in their inventory, and pass the three-explosion practice test (throwing grenades, setting off explosives, shooting guns), and meet the quality standards. After completing the training course, the soldiers will be tested and evaluated on 20 contents, and then assigned to appropriate units to carry out border protection tasks," Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Ha emphasized.
