(Baonghean.vn) - "Seeing him struggling to drag his homemade vehicle up the slippery slope to Dai Tue Pagoda, I offered to carry him up."

That was the confession of Le Van Dung, a final year student of the Faculty of Administrative Management, People's Police Academy, currently interning at Nam Dan District Police after carrying a person with both legs amputated to the yard of Dai Tue Pagoda.

On the morning of April 28, Le Van Dung was assigned to assist Nam Dan district police officers in performing security work, ensuring order and traffic flow in the parking lot area about 100m away from Dai Tue pagoda. Due to the rain, slippery roads, and increased density of people and vehicles going to the pagoda to attend the Buddha's Birthday, the authorities asked visitors to park their vehicles in the parking lot and walk to avoid congestion.

"While on duty, I saw a man with two amputated legs sitting on a board with wheels trying to find a way to climb the slope to the temple yard. The slope was steep and the road was slippery, so I offered to carry him," Dung said.

After carrying the disabled man to the temple yard and placing him on an empty bench, Dung returned to his work.

The young man in the traditional blue uniform of the police force carried a man with two amputated legs up the hill to Dai Tue Pagoda (Nam Dan), leaving a beautiful image of a people's police soldier in the hearts of tourists coming to the pagoda.
