Wisconsin State Elections Commission Chairman Mark Thomsen announced the results of the recount at the request of Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein.
The Wisconsin State Election Commission began recounting votes on December 1 after Jill Stein raised $2.5 million to request a recount in Wisconsin, one of three battleground states in the recent election.
Jill Stein’s campaign to recount the votes in the US presidential election targeted three states: Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. These are the “battleground” states where Donald Trump narrowly defeated his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton, with a difference of only about 100,000 popular votes./
