Extracting gold from mobile phones.

A team of scientists at the University of Edinburgh (UK) has successfully developed a new method to extract gold from discarded mobile phones most effectively.

Over 300 tons of gold are used to manufacture electronic devices each year, the majority of which are mobile phones. Therefore, it would be wasteful if this precious metal were not utilized instead of being discarded by users.
