On the afternoon of February 2, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control announced that there were 31 new Covid-19 cases, including 30 community cases recorded in Hai Duong (18 cases); Hanoi (1 case), Gia Lai (3 cases), Quang Ninh (8 cases); 1 imported case was immediately quarantined.

- As of 6:00 p.m. on February 2: Vietnam has a total of 994Covid-19 casesdue to domestic infection, of which the number of new cases from January 27 to present: 301 cases.
- From 6am to 6pm on February 2: 31 new cases, including 1 imported case that was quarantined immediately.
Information on new cases: 31 NEW CASES (BN1852-1882): 30 community cases in Hai Duong (18), Quang Ninh (8), Gia Lai (3), Hanoi (1) and 1 imported case quarantined immediately in Hanoi city. Specifically:
- Quang Ninh province recorded 8 patients (BN1852-1867, BN1873-1874): 5 F1 related to the outbreak at POYUL Company, Hai Duong province; 3 F1 related to the outbreak at Van Don Airport, Quang Ninh.
- Hai Duong province recorded 18 patients (BN1858-1865, BN1868-1872): 18 F1 related to the Chi Linh outbreak, Hai Duong province.
- Gia Lai province recorded 3 patients (BN1875-1877): 3 F1, related to the outbreak in Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province.

- 1 imported case was immediately quarantined in Hanoi city (Patient 1857): male, 43 years old, expert, Russian nationality. On February 1, 2021, the patient from Russia entered Noi Bai Airport on flight ZF2074/2078, was immediately quarantined, and tested in Hanoi city. The test result on February 2, 2021, the patient was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently quarantined and treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility.
