On the afternoon of August 20th, Nghe An province reported 26 more COVID-19 cases, with 16 already in isolation.
(Baonghean.vn) - Thus, today the entire province recorded 60 new Covid-19 cases.
On the afternoon of August 20th, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Director of the Nghe An CDC, announced that in the past 12 hours (from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on August 20th), Nghe An recorded 26 new positive cases of COVID-19. Of these, 10 were community cases, and 16 were cases previously under centralized quarantine.
Specifically, the cases include:
1. LVĐ., male, born in 2002,Address: Hoa Thanh, Yen Thanh. The patient is a student at the Vietnam-Korea College who returned to Yen Thanh district on August 16th. On August 19th, the patient was quarantined at Hoa Thanh Primary School and a sample was taken and sent to the CDC for testing. On the morning of August 20th, the results confirmed positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
2. PCĐ., male, born in 2002The patient, residing at Nam Thanh, Yen Thanh District, is a student at the Vietnam-Korea College who returned to Yen Thanh District on August 16th. On August 19th, the patient was quarantined at Nam Thanh Primary School and a sample was taken and sent to the CDC for testing. The results, received on the morning of August 20th, confirmed positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
3. VVT, male, born in 2003.Occupation: Plumbing and electrical worker. Address: Nghi Long, Nghi Loc. On the morning of August 20th, the patient, exhibiting symptoms of fever and fatigue, went to Nghi Loc Medical Center for a rapid test which yielded a positive result. Immediately afterward, the patient was isolated and samples were sent to the CDC. On the afternoon of August 20th, the test results confirmed a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
4. HQQ, male, born in 1984Occupation: Mobile vendor. Address: Trung Phuc Cuong, Nam Dan. Permanent address: Hung Chinh, Vinh City. On August 6th, the patient developed a fever and fatigue, self-medicated but the symptoms did not improve. On August 19th, the patient went to Cua Dong General Hospital for testing. On August 20th, the test results confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2.
5. LTV, female, born in 1991.Occupation: Salesperson at a School Books and Equipment Company. Address: Le Loi Street, Vinh City. On August 10th, the patient took her child for a check-up at Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Internal Medicine Clinic 5 and the following departments/wards: ENT, Clinical Laboratory, and X-ray. On August 19th, the patient developed a cough and fatigue. She went to Thai Thuong Hoang Hospital for a rapid test, which came back positive twice. A sample was then taken and sent to the CDC for testing. On August 20th, a re-test confirmed a positive result for SARS-CoV-2.
6. NTP, female, born in 1973Occupation: Wholesale market vendor. Address: Hong Son, Vinh City. The patient sells goods at the wholesale market daily. On August 14th, a community test sample was taken at the wholesale market, yielding a negative result. On August 19th, the patient went to Cua Dong General Hospital for a pooled sample test, which yielded a suspected positive result. On August 20th...Eight patients were retested and the results confirmed positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
7. TTD, female, born in 1998Occupation: Employee at Hoa Dao Watch Shop. Permanent address: Hong Son, Vinh City. The patient is a sales employee at Hoa Dao Watch Shop on Cao Xuan Huy Street. On August 20th, the patient experienced fatigue, fever, and cough and went to Vinh City General Hospital for examination. There, the patient underwent two rapid tests which came back positive. Subsequently, a sample was taken and sent to the CDC, which confirmed a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
8. NHH, male, born in 1985Occupation: Freelancer. Address: Boi Son, Do Luong. The patient is a close contact (F1) of a previously announced COVID-19 patient. On August 18th, the patient was quarantined at Boi Son Kindergarten, and on August 19th, a sample was taken and sent to the CDC for testing. On the morning of August 20th, the test results confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2.
9. LTA, male, born in 2002Address: My Ly, Ky Son. The patient is a close contact (F1) of the previously announced patient LVD. On August 3rd, the patient traveled from Binh Duong to Ky Son. Immediately upon arrival, the patient was quarantined at My Ly Secondary School and tested four times. The fourth test confirmed a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
10. LVL, male, born in 1989Address: Xuan Hoa, Nam Dan. The patient is a close contact (F1) of patient NTK. On August 17th, the patient was quarantined at Xuan Hoa Primary School and a sample was taken for testing. On August 20th, the test result confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2.
11. PTD, female, born in 1968.Occupation: Selling porridge and soup. Address: Hong Son, Vinh City. The patient is a close contact (F1) of patient NTP, who was announced at the same time. On August 19th, the patient's sample was taken and sent to the CDC for testing, and on August 20th, the results confirmed positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
12. TKH, female, born in 2017Address: Truong Thi Street, Vinh City. The patient is the child and a close contact (F1) of previously announced patient LTTT and patient TMN. On August 14th, the patient was quarantined at Quyet Thanh Hotel and samples were taken on August 14th and 17th, both yielding negative results. On August 19th, a third sample was taken and sent to the CDC, and on August 20th, the result confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2.
13. Tr.TTA, female, born in 2013.Address: Truong Thi Street, Vinh City. The patient is the child and a close contact (F1) of previously announced patient LTTT and patient Tr.MN. On August 14th, the patient was quarantined at Quyet Thanh Hotel and samples were taken on August 14th and 17th, both yielding negative results. On August 19th, a third sample was taken and sent to the CDC, and on August 20th, the results confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2.
14. LTH, female, born in 1979Occupation: Selling pork trotters at Quang Trung Market. Address: Vinh Tan, Vinh City. The patient is a close contact (F1) of a previously announced case. On August 19th, the patient underwent a rapid test at Vinh City General Hospital, which yielded a positive result. Immediately afterward, the patient was transferred to isolation at the Tropical Diseases Department of Vinh City General Hospital and a sample was sent to the CDC. On August 20th, the test result confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2.
15. VTV, born in 1976.Occupation: Trader at Quang Trung Market. Address: Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City. On August 19th, the patient developed a fever of 38 degrees Celsius, sore throat, cough with phlegm, and fatigue. A rapid screening test at Vinh City General Hospital yielded a positive result. Immediately afterward, the patient was transferred to isolation at the Tropical Diseases Department of Vinh City General Hospital and a sample was taken and sent to the CDC. On August 20th, the test results confirmed a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
16. TTO, female, born in 1994Address: Tan Huong, Tan Ky. The patient traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Tan Ky district on August 13th. Immediately after arriving in the locality, the patient was quarantined at Tan Huong Kindergarten, Tan Ky. On August 15th, the patient's sample was taken for testing and the result was negative. On August 19th, the patient's sample was taken for testing again and sent to the CDC. On the morning of August 20th, the result confirmed positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
17. N. D. H., male, born in 1990Address: Tan Huong, Tan Ky. The patient traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Tan Ky district on August 16th. Immediately after arriving in the locality, the patient was quarantined at Tan Huong Kindergarten, Tan Ky. On August 17th, a sample was taken from the patient for testing, yielding a suspected positive result. On August 19th, a second sample was taken and sent to the CDC, and on the morning of August 20th, the result was confirmed positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
18. NVS, male, born in 1986Address: Quynh Chau, Quynh Luu. On August 17th, the patient traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Quynh Luu. Immediately upon arrival, the patient was quarantined at Quynh Chau Primary School and a sample was taken for testing. On August 18th, the result was inconclusive. On August 19th, a second sample was taken. On the morning of August 20th, the result was confirmed positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
19. NVN, male, born in 1993Address: Quynh Chau, Quynh Luu. On August 17th, the patient traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Quynh Luu. Immediately upon arrival, the patient was quarantined at Quynh Chau Primary School and a sample was taken for testing. On August 18th, the result was inconclusive. On August 19th, a second sample was taken. On the morning of August 20th, the result was confirmed positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
20. LTT, female, born in 1993Address: Tri Le, Que Phong. On July 25th, the patient traveled from Hanoi to Que Phong and was quarantined at Tri Le Semi-Boarding Secondary School. Five samples were taken for testing, with the fifth test confirming a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
21. LBC, male, born in 2000Address: Tri Le, Que Phong. On July 30th, the patient traveled from Dong Nai to Que Phong, was quarantined at Tri Le Semi-boarding Secondary School, and had 5 samples taken for testing. The 5th test confirmed a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
22. XBM, male, born in 2000Address: Tri Le, Que Phong. On July 30th, the patient traveled from Dong Nai to Que Phong, was quarantined at Tri Le Semi-boarding Secondary School, and had 5 samples taken for testing. The 5th test confirmed a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
23. VYA, female, born in 2004.Address: Tri Le, Que Phong. On July 30th, the patient traveled from Dong Nai to Que Phong, was quarantined at Tri Le Semi-Boarding Secondary School, and had 5 samples taken for testing. The 5th test confirmed a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
24. XTH, female, born in 2002.Address: Tri Le, Que Phong. On August 1st, the patient traveled from Binh Duong to Que Phong, was quarantined at Tri Le Semi-Boarding Secondary School, and had 5 samples taken for testing. The 5th test confirmed a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
25. VBT, male, born in 1997.Address: Tri Le, Que Phong. On July 27th, the patient traveled from Binh Phuoc to Que Phong, was quarantined at Tri Le Semi-Boarding Secondary School, and had 5 samples taken for testing. The 5th test confirmed a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
26. LVĐ, male, born in 1990.Address: Tri Le, Que Phong. The patient is a close contact (F1) of the previously announced patient LTL. On August 7th, the patient traveled from Hanoi to Que Phong, was quarantined at Tri Le Semi-Boarding Secondary School, and had three samples taken for testing. The third test confirmed a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Thus, today the entire province of Nghe An recorded 60 cases of Covid-19, one case fewer than the record number on August 19th.
