On the afternoon of July 30th, groups A, C, and D of the 2014 National U15 Football Championship - Hyundai Vinashin Cup will officially kick off.

The home team, PVF, is also the defending champion.

The 2014 National U15 Football Championship - Hyundai Vinashin Cup features 19 teams: Quang Ninh, Hanoi, Nam Dinh, Viettel, Hanoi T&T (Group A); SLNA, Ha Tinh, Hue, SHB Da Nang (Group B); Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Lak, Binh Dinh, Ninh Thuan (Group C); Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Kien Giang, Long An and Tay Ninh (Group D).

The seven best-performing teams (including the four group winners and the three better-performing second-placed teams) will compete in the finals along with host team PVF.

In the final round, 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups, A and B, and will continue to compete in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The final round will take place from August 19th to 28th in Ho Chi Minh City.

In the opening round this afternoon, matches in groups A, C, and D will begin. Specifically, Group A matches will be held at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, Group C will be hosted by the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Group D will take place in Dong Nai. The group stage for these three groups will conclude on August 11th.

Group B will take place later, from August 5th to 11th. The technical meeting and draw for the Group B schedule will be held on August 4th. Group B is hosted by Song Lam Nghe An Sports Joint Stock Company.

Regarding the prize structure, the winning team receives 50 million VND. The runner-up receives 30 million VND. The two teams tied for third place each receive 20 million VND. In addition, the organizing committee also awards prizes for Fair Play, Best Player of the Finals, Top Scorer of the Finals, Best Goalkeeper of the Finals, etc.
