Lasting 59 minutes, the film depicts the arduous yet persistent lives of Vietnamese fishermen who cling to the sea for their livelihood; it also praises the hardworking, self-sacrificing women fishermen who endure hardship for their husbands and children.

The film also captures the spiritual life of fishermen in the coastal region through images of wind-blown tombs and festivals about the Hoang Sa naval forces dating back to the 17th century. The film was screened at the exhibition "Hoang Sa - Truong Sa: An Inseparable Part of Vietnam's Territory" at the Da Nang Museum from June 21 to 25.
