(Baonghean.vn) - When they cannot convince readers with fabricated and distorted information, hostile forces sabotage by spreading information in the form of 'smokescreens' and suspicion. In particular, they focus on the fight against corruption and negativity in the economic field.

All kinds of smokescreen

In recent times, hostile forces have frequentlysabotage our countryby distorting the situation in Vietnam. On the internet, especially on social networks, many articles and video clips with fabricated content about the fight against corruption and negativity have appeared. However, their arguments have been "exposed" and "exposed" by authorities and media agencies. Since then, people have been more cautious in receiving information on social networks.

When they know they cannot convince and attract readers with fabricated information, turning black into white, they "change tactics" by making up arguments that cause suspicion and create confusion. Especially when the fight against corruption and negativity in the economic field is reaching a fierce stage, they also do not stop fighting. Many articles on associations and groups create confusion that: Vietnamese police are criminalizing economic and civil relations; or: Vietnam will only "touch the neck" of all economic groups; or: fighting corruption and negativity in Vietnam only targets those who are not on the same side... They even release probing and warning information such as: "Police are about to touch the neck of a real estate company", "Big guys in the stock market are about to go to jail", "Whoever has money in bank xxx, withdraw it immediately!",...

From there, they raised the issue that: The more we fight, the more negativity, the more corruption, the less developed the economy; to fight corruption effectively, we need to change the system... They continuously share this suspicious information on Facebook groups and edit it into video clips posted on many YouTube and watch channels to influence internet users. This makes a part of the people and investors waver, affecting the stock market in particular and the development of the economy in general.

Practice exposes evil plot

The fight against corruption and negativity in the economic field in Vietnam is bringing about clear results. Many countries and organizations in the world highly appreciate Vietnam's efforts in fighting corruption, thereby creating the most favorable environment for investors. Some typical cases, highly supported by public opinion such as the case of Viet A Company, "rescue flights", equipment procurement in the fields of health, education, errors in land use management, etc. have been discovered and handled. Thereby, many organizations and individuals have been disciplined; there have been high-ranking officials under the Central management who have been prosecuted and detained for accepting bribes and abusing their positions and powers while performing their official duties.

Recently, on October 20, 2022, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency temporarily detained Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai, former Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh, former Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee forinvestigation into bribery; prosecuted and temporarily detained Ms. Bo Ngoc Thu, former Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Dong Nai province, for the crime of "Abusing position and power while performing official duties". This is a development of the investigation expansion of the case initiated at the end of April 2022 against the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, General Director of AIC Company Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan and a number of defendants for acts of bid collusion, fraud in bidding, violating the Law on Bidding so that AIC won 12 bid packages with a total value of more than 476 billion VND...

Previously, from the beginning of 2022, we handled the case of Trinh Van Quyet (chairman of FLC) withstock market manipulation; the case of Do Anh Dung, Chairman of Tan Hoang Minh and his accomplices, through fraudulent bond issuance, appropriating more than 8,000 billion VND (about 320 million USD); the case of Van Thinh Phat with fraudulent acts of issuing and trading bonds, appropriating thousands of billions of VND from investors...

The above cases show that economic crimes have caused terrible damage to the economy in general, to investors and people in particular. Super scammers have conjured up a few billion dong into a charter capital of thousands of billions to appropriate investors' money. Many families have fallen into ruin and debt due to the stock market manipulation of people like Trinh Van Quyet, Do Anh Dung, etc.

The Party, State, Government and competent authorities are determined to investigate and handle crimes in order to prevent crimes and recover stolen assets for the people. At the same time, it shows that Vietnam is determined to make investment, business and stock market activities healthy and transparent. This is a necessary action, in accordance with Vietnamese law and international legal standards.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts Vietnam's GDP growth in 2022 to reach about 7-7.5%; average inflation is lower than the target of 4% and lower than other countries in the world and the region; production and business activities are recovering strongly and widely. In a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on October 3, 2022, Ms. Era Dabla-Norris, Head of the Monitoring Mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), commented:"This is something we do not observe in other economies, for example, many countries have good growth but very high inflation. We can see bad news every day, but with Vietnam, we have grounds to believe that the overall economic picture is positive despite external shocks. If solutions are implemented well, Vietnam can completely overcome the very difficult year of 2023 and look towards 2024 in a more positive way. Vietnam's fundamentals are still solid and investors still believe in Vietnam".

This reality shows the results and effectiveness of the leadership and direction of the Party, the State, and the Government's management in the past time. In particular, the focus on fighting corruption and negativity in the economic field has been highly effective; contributing to ensuring the stock market, corporate bond market, financial market, and banking market operate stably, healthily, transparently, safely, and sustainably; protecting the legitimate interests of people, investors, and businesses.
