Ship sinks off Indonesia, 150 likely dead.
The shipwreck site is located between the islands of Java and Sumatra.
On August 29, Indonesian rescue forces reported that a ship carrying 150 people en route to Australia had sunk in Indonesia's Sunda Strait.

Indonesian search and rescue authorities received notification of the accident from the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) at 1:30 AM on August 29th, when the vessel was located between Java and Sumatra, 220 nautical miles (approximately 352 km) from Australia's Christmas Island. Indonesian rescue forces dispatched two rescue vessels and two helicopters to the accident area, but so far no survivors have been found.
Australia is facing a massive influx of refugees, primarily arriving by sea in recent times, with Indonesia as a transit point. This year alone, 300 illegal refugees have died while attempting to reach Australia by sea.
