He commented on the situation with Ukrainian ships in the Black Sea and called it a provocation from Kiev, specifically from Petro Poroshenko.
According to him, the popularity of the Ukrainian president has plummeted, Poroshenko understands that his party has almost no chance in the upcoming elections if he does not do something sensational.
After a state of war was imposed in Ukraine, Poroshenko called on the West and the US to impose new sanctions against Russia.
Adrian Karatnitsky, a member of the Atlantic Council, proposed to increase the US naval presence in the Black Sea, provide anti-aircraft and anti-ship missiles to Kiev, tighten sanctions and cancel the construction of the Nord Stream-2 and South Stream oil pipelines, the American politician wrote.
Politicians ask, what does Washington have to do with the issue of controlling the Kerch Strait?
“If Ukraine had the right to secede from Russia in 1991, why couldn’t Crimea, Donetsk, and Lugansk secede? What does the US care about these places?” Patrick Buchanan wrote.
