The Government supports 100 billion VND for Nghe An, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc will directly inspect the work of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

The Prime Minister has just decided to provide emergency support of VND250 billion to three provinces: Nghe An, Dien Bien and Son La to overcome the consequences of floods from the central budget reserve in 2025, of which Nghe An province is allocated VND100 billion.

Decision No. 1653/QD-TTg signed by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc on August 2, 2025 stated: In addition to Nghe An, the remaining two provinces, Dien Bien, will receive support of VND 100 billion and Son La VND 50 billion. This is the initial support for localities to restore damage and soon stabilize people's lives after natural disasters.

Provincial People's Committees are assigned the responsibility to manage and use funds for the right purposes, right subjects, openly and transparently, to avoid loss and negativity. In addition to the central budget support, localities are required to mobilize additional local budgets and other legal sources to promptly support people to overcome difficulties.

In the latest directive on August 2 on focusing on overcoming the consequences of floods, flash floods, and landslides, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assigned ministries, branches, and localities to urgently focus on overcoming the consequences of flash floods, landslides, and landslides in Dien Bien, Son La, and Nghe An provinces.

The Ministry of Finance is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and relevant agencies to urgently synthesize recommendations and proposals from severely damaged localities, especially the provinces of Dien Bien, Nghe An, and Son La, and report to the Prime Minister on August 3, 2025.

To ensure close and effective direction, the Prime Minister clearly assigned responsibilities to the Deputy Prime Ministers. Specifically: Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee is assigned to monitor and direct the implementation of related documents.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc directly visited, encouraged, inspected and urged the overcoming of consequences in Nghe An province. Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long will also go to Son La to carry out similar tasks.

The Prime Minister requested the Provincial Party Secretary and the Chairman of the People's Committee of the three provinces to be directly responsible for directing and coordinating with the Ministries of National Defense, Public Security, Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Industry and Trade, Science and Technology, Health, Education and Training, Culture - Sports and Tourism... to focus on overcoming the consequences caused by flash floods, landslides, and landslides as quickly as possible with the most urgent and drastic spirit.

According to the latest report updated at 10:00 a.m. on August 2, the total damage caused by storm No. 3 in Nghe An province is estimated at VND3,635 billion. Of which, the largest damage is to the housing and property sector with about VND1,545 billion. Transport infrastructure is also seriously affected, with estimated damage of about VND1,390 billion.

Nghe An has allocated 317 billion VND, of which 205 billion VND is from the provincial budget reserve and 112 billion VND is from the Relief Fund through the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to support communes affected by storm No. 3.
