Moldovan and Palestinian governments resign.
According to Sputnik on June 17, this development occurred after Gaburici, 38, who became prime minister in February 2015, resigned on June 12 after being questioned by prosecutors about the authenticity of his high school and college degrees.

"Following the Prime Minister's decision to resign, we are submitting to Parliament our resignations on behalf of the entire cabinet," the ministers said in a statement.
The BBC reported earlier that Gaburici had demanded the resignation of the state prosecutor general and senior banking officials after $1 billion – equivalent to one-eighth of Moldova's GDP – disappeared from three banks.
This scandal sparked public outrage, with people taking to the streets to protest and demand an investigation and punishment for those involved.
Also on June 16, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced that the unity government – formed last June – would resign within the next 24 hours.
Xinhua News Agency reported on June 17, citing an anonymous source, that Abbas also indicated he would appoint Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah to form a new government.
Although Abbas did not state the reason for dissolving the government, sources say he did so because "to date, the Hamas movement has not given us answers regarding allowing a government to operate in Gaza."
The Palestinian unity government was sworn in before Abbas last June in the West Bank city of Ramallah following an agreement between Hamas and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to form a unity government aimed at ending internal divisions in the country.
