Officially remove regulations on passenger distancing on planes, buses... from May 7

All regulations on social distancing on passenger transport vehicles (buses, taxis, passenger cars, trains, airplanes, ships, etc.) will be lifted. However, measures to ensure COVID-19 prevention must continue to be strictly implemented.

On May 6, 2020, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan signed urgent Official Dispatch No. 4306/BGTVT-CYT to agencies and units under the Ministry of Transport; Departments of Transport of provinces and cities on Instructions on implementing measures to ensure COVID-19 prevention and control on passenger transport vehicles in the new situation.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Transport requested the Vietnam Road Administration, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Vietnam Maritime Administration, Vietnam Railways, and Vietnam Inland Waterways to notify transport businesses to remove all regulations on passenger distancing on passenger transport vehicles (buses, taxis, passenger cars, trains, airplanes, ships, etc.).

According to the document of the Ministry of Transport, it is required to continue to strictly implement measures to ensure COVID-19 prevention and control such as:

- Wear masks properly in public areas (train stations, wharves, bus stations...) and on passenger vehicles throughout the journey;

- Make a medical declaration;

- Wash your hands regularly with soap or hand sanitizer (with at least 60% alcohol concentration);

- Check body temperature;

- Limit communication and eating on passenger vehicles;

- Disinfect surfaces on passenger vehicles before and immediately after the end of the trip.
