In 2023, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of administrative agencies, public service agencies, and socio-political organizations will have 7 days off for the Lunar New Year and 4 days off for National Day.

The Government Office has just sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs informing that Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam agrees with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to take a holiday for the Lunar New Year 2023.

Accordingly, the 2023 Lunar New Year holiday schedule applicable to cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations will last 7 days.

The specific Tet holiday schedule is from Friday (January 20, 2023) to Thursday (January 26, 2023), that is, December 29, year of the Tiger, to January 5, year of the Cat.

Previously, in the submission of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the ministry assessed that the 7-day Tet holiday plan ensures that the number of Tet holidays is not too long, harmonizes the number of days off before and after Tet, and creates conditions for people to travel and shop for Tet. On the other hand, this plan is also agreed by the majority of ministries and sectors.

Tet Quy Mao 2023, civil servants and public employees have 7 days off.

For the National Day holiday, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam agreed to take a break from September 1 to September 4, 2023.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam requested that agencies and units implementing the Tet and National Day holiday schedule must arrange working departments reasonably to handle work continuously, ensuring good service to organizations and people.

For other weekly, public and Tet holidays in 2023, the provisions of the Labor Code will apply./.
