German politician reveals what awaits the NATO alliance?
Sevim Dagdelen, a Bundestag MP from the "Alliance for Reason and Justice Sarah Wagenknecht" party, said the North Atlantic Alliance, with its short-sighted policy, has increased the possibility of the military bloc's direct involvement in the conflict in Ukraine. The content was presented in the German Parliament's lower house and broadcast on Phoenix channel.
“We need peace instead of NATO,” said Sevim Dagdelen.
Dagdelen called for Ukraine to be prevented from joining the alliance. She also called it irresponsible to allocate funds to support Ukraine in the context of government cuts in spending on education, health care and infrastructure.
“In Ukraine, the risk of NATO becoming directly involved in the conflict is growing,” the politician said.
Moscow has repeatedly stressed that Russia does not pose a threat to any of the North Atlantic Alliance countries, but will not ignore actions that could endanger its interests. At the same time, the possibility of dialogue remains open, but on an equal basis, and the West must abandon the path of militarization of Europe. As Russian President Vladimir Putin noted, Russia does not want a direct military conflict with NATO, but if someone wants it, Moscow is ready for it.
