Ukrainian politician 'complains' that European sanctions against Russia are useless
European sanctions against Russia are ineffective, said the head of Ukraine's "National Development Strategy" Dmitry Spivak.
“What about European sanctions against Russia, when France is building a Renault plant there, Germany and Russia are building Nord Stream 2 and will complete it, and Thorbjørn Jagland is talking about the need to bring Russia back to the EU. Therefore, all these sanctions are only nominal, they have absolutely no impact on the economy of the Russian Federation,” Spivak said.
The political analyst added that Kiev should prepare for the fact that there are changing trends in European policy, and President Vladimir Zelensky will dismiss Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin and appoint a new Foreign Minister.
Mr Spivak also complained that over the past three to three and a half years, Ukraine as a country “has lost respect, trust and cooperation with itself”.
