Waiting for New Year's Eve, thinking about "going to the streets", faith and hope

Just recently, when the U23 football team excelled in the Asian final, performing an emotional match, we witnessed an unbelievable street demonstration of millions of people.

What do the stadiums and streets filled with red flags with yellow stars say? It is that Faith has returned. People believe in the bright future of football if the players continue to play confidently, purely and intelligently like that. They played with the slogan that the whole team has only one star, which is the five-pointed yellow star on the sacred national flag.

Perhaps football is just the way for Faith to appear most fully and convincingly, after so many events happening in all areas of political and social life.

The Year of the Rooster was a year of shocking developments demonstrating the determination to clean up the political system, declaring a real war on corruption and negativity. Many individuals who were thought to be untouchable were disciplined, arrested and prosecuted, including a former member of the Politburo and current member of the Central Committee. A series of trials opened, signaling a shaking correction.

The saying: "Losing faith is losing everything" has been heard by people for many years, through many generations of leaders, but it was not until the year of Dinh Dau that people saw real actions, that people believed that "you cannot wash your hair from the shoulders down". The Party's rectification has created a ripple effect throughout society. This is the origin of trust and confidence.

TFrom the confidence gained in political life, it leads to economic prosperity, in the effort to improve the business environment to encourage business and entrepreneurship, people's lives are improved, people look to the future with confidence, not with doubt or frustration, indifference.

Recalling more than 4 years ago, in October 2013, when General Vo Nguyen Giap passed away, there was also an unprecedented "taking to the streets" of people across the country.

In that context, in addition to the grief and respect for a rare talent and personality in one of the most outstanding students of President Ho Chi Minh, in the Ho Chi Minh era, the image of a crowd of people silently seeing him off also contained other messages. That is the people's expectation and demand for the qualities of leaders. The people want them to be truly impartial, to speak the truth and act truthfully, for the country and the people as President Ho Chi Minh taught. The people want the country to be better, more lovable, more worth living and more proud.

The two street demonstrations, more than four years apart, were both demonstrations of the strength of the nation and the people, demonstrations of patriotism, but the level of belief and optimism was different. The emotional "street demonstration" to celebrate U23 Vietnam had only belief and belief, only excitement, optimism and hope.

Even if the economy develops but trust is shaken, people's hearts will not gather, insecurity will still exist, reputation and trust are so important.

Looking forward to the new year of Mau Tuat 2018, if we could choose one word, we would choose Hope.

It is hoped that the Party rectification work will continue to be carried out with unwavering determination. The Party leads the State and society, and the Party's leadership capacity, leadership culture, integrity and purity have a decisive influence on the whole society, from economic life to culture and spirit.

The results achieved in the recent Party building and rectification work are extremely important, but they are only initial results and not really sustainable. Negative factors and obstacles are still very widespread.

There is still much work to be done with high spirit and determination to rectify and correct the shortcomings and errors that have long existed in many fields. Proper and clean leadership is needed for healthy development.

Of the three pillars of action to move the country forward: institutions, human resources and infrastructure, the most important, most difficult and decisive task is institutional reform.

More than ever, the country needs a scientifically designed and transparent institution that can liberate all resources, maximize creativity, arouse the enthusiasm of the entire nation, and ensure development and prosperity that will bring happiness to everyone.

The ancients once said that although a country's strength and weakness vary from time to time, there are heroes in every generation. Talents are the lifeblood of a nation. If there is a mechanism to truly not forget any heroes in today's innovation, that is what the people desire most.

In the year of Dinh Dau, when the drums of command have already sounded and faith has returned, then 2018, the year of Mau Tuat, must be the year to light up even more hopes./.
