Implementing the national target program for building new rural areas, Kim Lien commune has so far achieved 19 out of 19 criteria. However, the criteria achieved by Kim Lien commune are still not commensurate with its potential, political position, and the requirements and aspirations of the people nationwide. Therefore, building Kim Lien into a model new rural commune is essential. Accordingly, the goals set for the coming years will focus on building a strong political system, promoting democracy within the Party and among the people. Mobilizing all resources to invest in development, achieving high and sustainable economic growth; having a synchronized infrastructure, a harmonious and progressive cultural life, and ensuring traditional cultural identity… Striving to achieve comprehensive development and become a model new rural commune by 2020. This includes achieving several basic targets such as: average per capita income reaching 50-60 million VND/year (twice that of 2015), total budget revenue in the area reaching 25-26 billion VND excluding land use fees (an increase of over 10 billion VND compared to 2015), 100% of schools meeting national standards level 2, maintaining and improving the quality of communes meeting national health standards…
After listening to the opinions expressed, Comrade Dinh Viet Hong concluded: The project's name, "Building a Model New Rural Commune in the 2015-2020 period," was unanimously agreed upon; Kim Lien commune and Nam Dan district were tasked with incorporating the feedback to revise and finalize the project. By 2020, Kim Lien commune must shift its economic structure more actively, with the service sector accounting for the highest proportion; the objectives, tasks, and solutions for construction must include an environmental criterion. To achieve the status of a model new rural commune, Kim Lien needs to effectively utilize its internal resources and attract external investment; strengthen investment attraction to create jobs; and build a comprehensive and aesthetically pleasing infrastructure. Nam Dan district needs to coordinate well with relevant departments and agencies during the implementation of the project to achieve the set goals as soon as possible.
