On the afternoon of the second day of Tet, Ngo Phuong Thao (born in 2008, residing in Suoi Tre commune, Long Khanh town) went to her neighbor's house to celebrate Tet.
Here, after hearing a loud explosion, people discovered Thao dead with many blood stains on her body, nearby was a teenager named Tri holding an air gun in his hand. The incident was then reported to the authorities.
According to Tri's family, Tri showed signs of mental illness. At the time of the incident, the whole family went to celebrate Tet, leaving only Tri at home alone. In the house was hidden an air gun belonging to his father.
