Husband sets wife on fire with gasoline, resulting in child's death.

(Baonghean.vn) - Around 9 PM on July 27, 2015, a serious murder occurred in Hamlet 5B, Nam Thanh Commune, Nam Dan District, where a husband poured gasoline on his wife and set her on fire, resulting in the death of their child.

According to initial information, on the night of July 27th, after returning home from drinking alcohol, Tran Van Giang (born in 1990) argued with his wife, Nguyen Thi Oanh Dam (born in 1993). Afterward, Giang poured gasoline on his wife, who was holding their 9-month-old son, Tran Van Doan, and set her on fire.

Hearing Ms. Oanh's cries for help, neighbors rushed to put out the fire and quickly took the mother and child to the Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital for emergency treatment. Due to the severity of the burns, Tran Van Doan died upon arrival at the hospital, while Ms. Oanh was transferred to the National Burn Institute in critical condition. Tran Van Giang was arrested on the spot by the Nam Thanh Commune Police and the Nam Dan District Police.

The case is currently being investigated by the Nam Dan District Police in coordination with the Nghe An Provincial Police.
