On November 8, Que Phong District People's Court opened a trial for defendant La Tu Dat (born 2001), residing in Hong Phong block, Kim Son town, Que Phong district, for the crime of "Resisting a person on official duty".

According to the indictment, at about 10:30 p.m. on July 18, 2024, at the checkpoint to warn people and vehicles not to pass on National Highway 16 from Chau Thon commune to Chau Kim commune, due to serious landslides caused by storms.

At this time, because he was blocked by the authorities and not allowed to pass, La Tu Dat used force to seriously injure the Deputy Commander of the Chau Thon Commune Military Command.
