The car keys were left by the hotel manager on the reception desk. At this time, Dinh Thanh Son (32 years old, living in Ninh Binh province) and Phung Van Khanh went from Ho Chi Minh City to Phuong Nga hotel. Son went to the receptionist to ask for Ms. PTTV's room number but was not able to, so he stole the Lexus RX350 car keys and drove the car back out onto the street to take Khanh away from the hotel.
The hotel manager found out and asked, but Son did not answer and drove away. At this time, the receptionist called Ms. PTTV to verify and learned that the key was not given to anyone else.
The hotel manager called the police and used a motorbike to chase the Lexus RX350. When Son drove onto Highway 1, to the Can Tho Bridge Toll Station (old, from Can Tho to Ho Chi Minh City), he was stopped by the Traffic Police and taken to the headquarters for questioning.
According to the investigation, in 2013, Son lived with Ms. PTTV as husband and wife and had a child together. By 2015, Son and Ms. PTTV were no longer living together. The Lexus RX350 car was the property of Ms. V.'s biological father, but was registered as the owner by his son (Ms. PTTV's younger brother). The younger brother gave the car to his older sister to use.
In this case, Son was determined to have taken the key to the Lexus RX350 car but the manager and receptionist did not know. Through investigation and evidence collection, the case showed signs of the crime of "Theft of property" and the victim was the manager of Mach The Bao hotel.
The investigation agency continues to consolidate the case file and handle the case according to the law./.
