Final list of Vietnam national team for AFF Cup 2018, Xuan Manh is unfortunately absent
(Baonghean.vn) - Today, the Vietnam Football Federation and Coach Park Hang Seo announced the list of 30 players preparing for the Southeast Asian Championship - AFF Cup 2018. Many familiar faces have returned in this training session.
Recently, defender Van Thanh was diagnosed with a torn ligament in his right knee and will need surgery to completely treat the injury. With the surgery, Vu Van Thanh will have to rest for about 6 months, meaning he will not be able to participate in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018.
Song Lam Nghe An Club only has 2 players, central defenders Que Ngoc Hai and Phan Van Duc. Defender Pham Xuan Manh, due to a fibula injury, did not recover in time to participate in this important tournament.
The 2018 V.League champion, Hanoi, has 8 players in the upcoming training session. HAGL has 5 players and FLC Thanh Hoa has players Trong Hoang, Xuan Hung and goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung.

According to the plan, the team will go to Paju Sports Center for training from October 16 to October 30. During the training here, Coach Park Hang-seo will have 3 practice matches to test the squad and playing style with the "blue troops" that have been identified, including 2 clubs currently playing in the K-League: Incheon United (October 22), Seoul FC (October 25) and 1 club in the K-League 2: Seoul E Land FC (October 29).
On October 30, Coach Park Hang-seo and his team will return to Vietnam to complete the final preparations and finalize the official list of 23 players before entering the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 campaign.
At the AFF Cup 2018, the Vietnamese team is in Group A with Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos. The tournament will officially kick off on November 8./.
