Finalizing the toll rates for 5 state-invested expressways.
State-invested expressways have recently received approval from the Ministry of Construction for toll rates and will implement electronic toll collection (ETC) based on the actual distance traveled by the vehicle.
The Ministry of Construction has just issued a document approving the toll rates for vehicles using expressways on routes where the Road Infrastructure Asset Exploitation Project has been approved.
State-invested expressways, including Mai Son - National Highway 45, National Highway 45 - Nghi Son, Nghi Son - Dien Chau, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet, and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay, will have tolls ranging from 900 to 1,300 VND/km, lower than the toll rates of expressways invested under BOT contracts, which currently average 1,721 VND/standard passenger car/km.
Accordingly, level 1 is 1,300 VND/km for standard vehicles, applicable to expressways that fully meet the requirements (4 lanes, with a continuous emergency stopping lane), such as the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay route. Level 2 is 900 VND/km, applicable to routes that do not fully meet the technical requirements (4 lanes, with a non-continuous emergency stopping lane), including: Mai Son - National Highway 45, National Highway 45 - Nghi Son, Nghi Son - Dien Chau, and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet.
Specifically, the Mai Son - National Highway 45 expressway has an actual toll-calculated length of 61.02km, with the highest toll for Group 1 vehicles (vehicles with fewer than 12 seats, trucks with a load capacity of less than 2 tons, and public passenger buses) at 54,909 VND; and the highest toll for Group 5 vehicles (trucks with a load capacity of 18 tons or more, and container trucks with a capacity of 40 feet or more) at 219,636 VND.
The National Highway 45 - Nghi Son expressway has a toll-free length of 45.018km, with the highest toll rates: 40,516 VND for Group 1 vehicles and 162,065 VND for Group 5 vehicles.
The Nghi Son - Dien Chau expressway, with a toll-free length of 50.45km, will have the highest toll rates: 45,405 VND for Group 1 vehicles and 181,620 VND for Group 5 vehicles.
The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway has a toll length of 100.618km, with the highest toll rates: 90,555 VND for Group 1 vehicles and 362,225 VND for Group 5 vehicles.
The Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway has a toll length of 99km, with the highest toll rates: 128,700 VND for Group 1 vehicles and 518,800 VND for Group 5 vehicles.
Toll stations on the five sections of the expressway will implement electronic toll collection (ETC), with the amount charged based on the actual distance traveled by the vehicle.
The Ministry of Construction has assigned the Vietnam Road Administration to publicly disclose the fee rates, collection methods, payers, exemptions, reductions, and to organize fee collection in accordance with the law on fees and charges, based on the approved fee levels.
