Mr. Tran was found dead lying face down with a deep cut and burns on the back of his neck in a shrimp hut, 2 km from his home.

On the morning of July 3, relatives discovered the body of Mr. Tran (39 years old, Ward 5, Bac Lieu City) in his family's shrimp pond, about 2 km from his house. The victim was lying face down, wearing only shorts, with a slash and burn on the back of his neck.

Relatives said that normally, Mr. Tran and his wife sleep together in the shrimp hut. But last night, because his wife was busy with the funeral of a relative, Mr. Tran went to the shrimp pond to sleep alone.

Police took statements from those involved and conducted an autopsy to investigate the cause of Mr. Tran's death.
