Mr. Tran was found dead lying face down with a deep cut and burns on the back of his neck in a shrimp hut, 2 km from his home.

On the morning of July 3, relatives discovered the body of Mr. Tran (39 years old, Ward 5, Bac Lieu City) in his family's shrimp pond, about 2 km from his house. The victim was lying face down, wearing only shorts, with a slash and burns on the back of his neck.

Relatives said that normally, Mr. Tran and his wife sleep together in the shrimp hut. But last night, because his wife was busy taking care of a relative's funeral, Mr. Tran went to the shrimp pond to sleep alone.

Police have taken statements from those involved and are investigating the cause of Mr. Tran's death.
