Business owner had safe broken into and nearly 800 million VND stolen

On November 16, Colonel Truong Van Sang, Chief of Cai Lay District Police, Tien Giang, said he was coordinating with the Criminal Police Department (PC45) of the provincial police to investigate the case of a safe being broken into and 800 million VND stolen in the area.

Accordingly, at around 8:00 a.m. on November 15, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Nga (46 years old, residing in My Thanh Nam commune, Cai Lay district) went to work.

At around 11am, when she returned home, she saw that the door had been broken in. Inside the house, she found many items showing signs of being disturbed.

Going inside, we discovered that the safe containing money and gold had also been broken into.

The total amount of lost assets that Ms. Nga reported to the police was nearly 800 million VND, including 21 taels of 24K gold, 2 taels of 18K gold and 170 million VND in cash.

Upon receiving the report, Cai Lay District Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department (PC45) and the Criminal Techniques Department (PC54) to examine the scene and investigate the incident.

Based on suspicious signs, the police initially determined that this was a theft and are currently searching for the perpetrator.

According to the police, Ms. Nga is the owner of a business specializing in buying and selling rice in the province. When the incident happened, Ms. Nga was on a transaction. It is very likely that the perpetrator is an acquaintance who knows the family's routine and activities.
