AIC President Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan is wanted
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan, Chairwoman of AIC, is wanted to clarify violations in the medical equipment bidding case at Dong Nai General Hospital.
The decision to arrest Ms. Nhan was issued by the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency on May 10, 11 days after the decision to prosecute the accused. Ms. Nhan was determined to have been on the run since June 19, 2021.
According to the decision, Ms. Nhan, born in 1969 in Bac Ninh, is the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the International Progress Joint Stock Company (AIC). Her residence before her arrest was apartment 1709-1710 of Pacific Place apartment building, 83B Ly Thuong Kiet street, Tran Hung Dao ward, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi.
"Anyone has the right to arrest and immediately take a wanted person to the nearest police agency, Procuracy or People's Committee," the wanted notice stated.

Previously, on April 29, Ms. Nhan and Mr. Phan Huy Anh Vu, Director of Dong Nai Department of Health, were prosecuted for the crime.Violation of bidding regulations causes serious consequences.
For the same crime, the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, and Smuggling (C03) prosecuted and detained 7 other people, including: Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Nga, former Deputy General Director of AIC; Nguyen Cong Tien, General Director of New Generation Valuation Company; Ninh Van Sinh, former Valuation Specialist of New Generation Valuation Company; Vu Quang Ngoc, Deputy Director of Medicosult Vietnam Medical Consulting Joint Venture Company and 3 AIC employees Nguyen Quang Minh, Nguyen Tien Thu, Hoang The Quynh.
The Dong Nai General Hospital construction investment project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee for adjustment with a total investment of 1,904 billion VND, assigning Dong Nai General Hospital as the investor.
C03 accused the process of preparing project adjustment documents and bidding documents for 12 medical equipment procurement packages in the 2013-2015 period of violations. Officials from the investor, AIC, the project consulting unit, preparing bidding documents, evaluating bids; and the price appraisal unit "colluded and inflated prices" so that AIC won 12 bidding packages with a total value of 476.87 billion VND. This act was determined to have caused damage to state assets, initially concluded at about 152 billion VND.
AIC was established in 2005, specializing in labor export business. Up to now, AIC has expanded its ecosystem with more than 10 member companies and become AIC Group operating in many industries with revenue of thousands of billions of VND.
In recent years, AIC Group has won many bids to supply equipment in the fields of healthcare and education across the country.
