Chairman of Vietnam Farmers' Union becomes Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee

Mr. Lai Xuan Mon was assigned by the Politburo to be the Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee, replacing Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, who received a new assignment.

On the morning of December 26, Mr. Lai Xuan Mon - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, received the decision of the Politburo on joining the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and holding the position of Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.

Also according to the decision of the Politburo, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee for the 2015 - 2020 term, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee to await assignment of new tasks.

Speaking in his new position, Mr. Lai Xuan Mon said this is a great honor and also a heavy responsibility that the Politburo has assigned to him.

"I will try to study, be open-minded and constantly strive to join the collective to make Cao Bang a dynamic province, completing and exceeding the targets set by the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress," said the new Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Lai Xuan Mon is 54 years old this year, from Nam Van commune, Nam Dinh city, Nam Dinh province. He has a Master's degree in Economics, spent 3 years in the army, then matured from working in the Youth Union in Nam Ninh district, Ha Nam Ninh province. In 2001, he became Deputy Chief of Office, then Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Farmers' Association.

At the 12th National Party Congress, he was elected to the Central Executive Committee. On April 22, 2016, he was elected to the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union./.
