Chairman Kim Jong-un boards train to return home, ending visit to Vietnam
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has boarded a train to leave Vietnam, successfully concluding his official friendship visit to Vietnam and attending the second US-North Korea Summit.

At 12:35 p.m., North Korean President Kim Jong-un boarded a special train at Dong Dang station, leaving Vietnam, successfully concluding his official friendship visit to Vietnam and attending the 2nd US-North Korea Summit.
Seeing off Chairman Kim Jong-un were Politburo member and Head of the Propaganda Department Vo Van Thuong; Minister and Head of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung and many officials of the Government and Lang Son province.
Earlier, on the morning of March 2, North Korean President Kim Jong-un laid flowers at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum before leaving Hanoi.
Chairman Kim Jong-un left Vietnam by armored train, traveling from Dong Dang station to return to North Korea via China. To reach Pyongyang, the train will have to go through a journey of about 40 hours.

Previously, at a solemn reception on the evening of March 1, Chairman Kim Jong-un expressed his sincere thanks to General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong for paying special attention to the visit, as well as for the warm and thoughtful reception given to the high-ranking delegation of North Korea; emphasizing that this visit to Vietnam was in the spirit of continuing the traditional friendship between North Korea and Vietnam as well as developing the friendly relationship between the two countries to a new height in accordance with the requirements of the new era, in the context of the volatile world political situation.
