President offers condolences to family of Nghe An male student who sacrificed himself to save friend
(Baonghean.vn) - President Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested that the relevant agencies consider submitting to the President the posthumous award of the Medal of Courage; at the same time consider recognizing student Nguyen Van Nha as a martyr in accordance with regulations.
Immediately after hearing the news that student Nguyen Van Nha (born in 1998), residing in Quynh Yen commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An, a 4th year student majoring in Information Technology, University of Science, Hue University, died after rescuing 3 female friends who were drowning on a beach in Phu Vang district; today (May 2), President Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent his condolences and visits to student Nguyen Van Nha's family.

The President requested that the relevant agencies consider submitting to the President the posthumous award of the Medal of Courage; at the same time consider recognizing student Nguyen Van Nha as a martyr in accordance with regulations.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc also asked the People's Committees of Thua Thien Hue Province, Nghe An Province and Hue University to pay attention to and support the family of the student who selflessly saved his friend.

It is known that Nha's situation is difficult, Nha's father has had a stroke for many years, and her mother is in poor health. Nha also has a deaf and mute older brother, and her grandparents are old and weak.
This afternoon (May 2), family, friends, and neighbors saw off Nguyen Van Nha's coffin to his final resting place in his hometown, Hamlet 6, Quynh Yen Commune (Quynh Luu District).
